Aroma Borealis Wins Alive Award of Excellence
Whitehorse, YT -Nov, 2005
Aroma Borealis won an Alive Award of Excellence for Aromatherapy last month in Toronto at the Canadian Health Food Association Trade Show for their Green Aid Ointment.
Aroma Borealis’s Green Aid Ointment was one of the top six products in terms of having the highest number of total votes.
The formulation of the Green Aid Ointment was a long time in the works. It is an accumulation of Gray’s years of experience with wild plants, organic herbs, essential oils and skin care products. She wanted to create a topical formula that was anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal and that has effective skin healing properties. Some of the ingredients in this formula include wild Yukon herbs such as fireweed and usnea, also known as old man’s beard.
“We have had great feedback from our local and national customers; people have been saying it helps stop itching, heals cuts & wounds, clears infection and helps with eczema, psoriasis, bug bites, cracked fingers and heels.” says Gray.
Gray is a skilled Herbalist and Registered Aromatherapist who has developed hundreds of products for the natural health market. Her products are seen in the popular Richter’s herb seed catalogue under the name of Herb Wild, and in Health food stores across the country under the Aroma Borealis brand name.
While at the health food trade show, Gray also gave a lively and interesting workshop on Aromatherapy to an audience of about 150 health food store owners. “It was great to have the opportunity to educate store owners to the benefits of essential oils and pure herbal products like the ones we make,” says Gray.
Gray also writes a popular monthly aromatherapy profile in Alive Magazine, Canada’s number one read magazine of natural health which has a circulation of over 200,000.
